Collect	Grey (potassium oxalate/sodium fluoride)

	Minimum Volume	1.0 mL Plasma
	Notes	1) Patient must be fasting and at complete rest with no recent heavy exercise (ex: not short of breath due to exertion). 2) Tourniquet must be used minimally, and preferably not at all. Fist-clenching must be avoided. 3) Sample must be collected in a grey-top tube. 4) Collect full tube on ice. 5) Centrifuge sample within 15 minutes of collection. 6) Separate Plasma and send it on ice by calling STAT courier (Should reach lab within 4 hrs). Otherwise freeze plasma on dry ice and transport to lab on dry ice.
